The markIncomingMessagesReaded setting marks not only incoming messages as read, but also incoming account statuses.

The markIncomingMessagesReaded setting marks only incoming messages as read.

Disable the markIncomingMessagesReaded setting and use the ReadChat method to mark chats and messages as read.
